Increase in voucher levels announced by Energy Saving Trust (EST)

The new level for Ground Source Heat Pumps is £2,300

As part of the Department of Energy and Climate Change’s desire to further support the growing market for domestic renewable heat, we consulted with industry on changes to the Renewable Heat Premium Payment (RHPP) household scheme. Having taken into account their views, along with new data available on installation costs, we have decided to increase the voucher levels for each of the four eligible technologies. We believe this increase represents a good deal for consumers and a fair balance across the technologies.

The increase will come in to effect for voucher applications made on the Energy Saving Trust (EST) website from today (20 May 2013). We believe this additional money will encourage even more people to switch to renewable heating.
